Our team has in-depth research on the characteristics of garnet raw ore. All garnet sand products are manufactured in strict accordance with Chinese standard GB/T 2481.1-1998. We adhere to the production standard of “Three Highs and One Low”: high purity, high cleanliness, high dryness and low impurity content. Our annual output of garnet sand reaches 50,000 metric tons. Our garnet sand is widely used in sandblasting & rust removal, polishing & grinding, abrasive tools, filter media and many other industries.
Product Features of Garnet Sand
- Hard texture with Mohs hardness of 7.5–8.0.
- No cleavage. When processed into blasting grits, it easily forms sharp-edged nearly cubic particles for excellent sandblasting and rust removal performance.
- High density of around 4g/cm³, delivering strong impact force to thoroughly clean metal surfaces.
- High strength and good toughness. It is not easy to break when hitting metal surfaces during blasting. Even if fractured, new sharp cubic particles will be generated, so the grit can be reused multiple times.
Available garnet sand sizes: 14#, 20#, 24#, 30#, 36#, 46#, 60#, 80#, 100#, 120#.
Our garnet sand also features high temperature resistance, stable chemical property, uniform particle size, high grinding efficiency and no surface scratches. It is ideal for surface sandblasting treatment of metal, plastic and wood materials. It is also widely applied in ultra-precision grinding for machinery industry, precision casting, optical glass, 3C products and silicon wafers.
Besides garnet sand, we also supply copper slag, brown fused alumina and quartz sand for your selection.
